Account Deletion Request
This page is where you can request deletion of your linked account and the server data attached to it, without installing the Dokkaebi app or opening it. If you have the app, you can get the same processing right away from [Menu → Settings & Account → Delete account] inside the app (전체 메뉴 → 설정·계정 → 계정 삭제).
1. How to request account deletion
Please email the address below with two things: (1) the method you used to sign up (Google or Kakao) and (2) the email address of that account.
Write a deletion request email to contact@brighttale.co.krTo verify your identity, we may send a confirmation reply to the email address you gave us. If processing finishes without a reply, it may be closed without separate notice.
2. Server data that is deleted
Once we confirm your request, we permanently delete the values below from our server (this is exactly the same scope as deletion inside the app):

3. What is not deleted — data on your device (phone)
Consultation records, the worry store (고민저장소), connections (인연: nicknames and relationships), secret notes, tarot reading history and similar data are unrelated to account deletion. Whether or not you sign in, these values are stored only on your device from the start and have never been sent to our servers (see the Privacy Policy), so there is nothing on the server to delete — they stay on your device as they are.
To also erase the data on your device, separately from account deletion, use Android [Settings → Apps → Dokkaebi → Storage → Clear data] (설정 → 애플리케이션 → 도깨비 → 저장공간 → 데이터 삭제) or uninstall the app.
4. How requests are processed
A person reads the email you send, finds the account record that matches the sign-in method and email you gave, and removes it from the server. When processing is finished it may be closed without separate notice; if we need to confirm something, we will reply to you again.
